DIMENSIONS/CONTEXTE :
Oxfam Grande Bretagne est une Organisation Non Gouvernementale Internationale qui est opérationnelle en RDC depuis 1960. Les secteurs principaux d’intervention sont : L’eau, hygiène et assainissement, sécurité alimentaire et moyens de substance, protection et plaidoyer en faveur des populations vulnérables.
A Dekese, Oxfam GB a réouvert sa mission afin de permettre les populations vivant dans et autour du parc national de la Salonga (PNS), dans les provinces de Kasaï (Dekese), Maï Ndombe (Bongimba et Oshwe) et Sankuru (Lomela), à parvenir à augmenter leurs revenus grâce à des moyens de subsistance alternatifs autres que ceux qui dépendent du braconnage et de la déforestation du PNS. En plus d’offrir des moyens de subsistance, les projets d’Oxfam contribueront à asseoir un développement économique pour le bénéfice des populations riveraines du PNS bénéficiant des services des projets.
Dans tous les projets, Oxfam GB utilise un processus de collaboration avec les communautés pour renforcer la capacité de ces dernières à identifier leurs problèmes prioritaires et à les résoudre
