We want to attract experienced finance professionals with knowledge of institutional donors' rules and outstanding leadership skills who are able to challenge conventional thought to influence stakeholders across different levels and disciplines and to adapt to and work within a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. 


Working as part of the Programme Finance Team and reporting to the Head of Programme Finance, this is a rewarding role where you will lead the Restricted Funds finance team that provide direct financial management, analysis, contractual and compliance support to HQ programme teams and restricted programmes managed from Oxford. The team also provides advice and capacity building support on restricted funds management to the wider organisation. 


Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience (not comprehensive)

  • Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA , ACCA, CIMA) and relevant post qualification experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of institutional donors’ rules in relation to programme funding and ways of working
  • Well developed and demonstrable strategic planning, financial planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and financial systems

Success however will not just depend on the technical skills - in a complex and dynamic environment like Oxfam, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Demonstrable track record of achieving measurable results and working effectively as part of a team
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating others and effective people management
