The Role


The M&E Officer will play a vital role in the Food Justice team, particularly to the success of the project “Consumers and Retailers Driving Sustainable Food Market in Thailand in the Seafood, Chicken and for Banana Supply Chains” which is funded by the European Union under the SWITCH Asia II Programme, and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) from January 2018 – December 2021.  The project goal is to enable an overall food market transformation in Thailand that requires food safety, environmentally sustainable and socially ethical production as standards.


What we are looking for


Our role will require a range of skills and experience.




  • Sound knowledge of and conviction on economic justice, inequalities, gender justice, food supply chains and civic movements.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E approach and design of data collection tools.
  • A few years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation of development or advocacy projects. Experience with EU project is preferable. 
  • People skills with ability to motivate people to involve in M&E and ability to communicate clearly the project approach and M&E approach.
  • Analytical skills, ability to turn data into information, and information into insight.
  • Knowledge and experience in research & evaluation, mixed methods.
  • Learning facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.



  • Ability to travel and at short notice including to remote locations.
