The Role:

Oxfam in Bangladesh is looking for a dynamic and motivated professional to join our Influencing, Communication, Advocacy and Media (ICAM) Department as a Volunteer – Bridge to Bangladesh Coordination & Operations, supporting the initial development phase of the Bridge to Bangladesh digital platform.

The Volunteer will support the Head of Influencing, Communications, Advocacy and Media (ICAM) in coordinating, documenting, and operationalizing the initial phase of the Bridge to Bangladesh digital platform.

This role will ensure smooth vendor coordination, internal alignment, technical follow-up, documentation management, communications integration, and operational readiness of the platform.

The Volunteer will be responsible for completing the following responsibilities:

  • Ability to coordinate between Oxfam in Bangladesh and the technology vendor, ensuring timely delivery of agreed milestones, technical outputs, and documentation.
  • Capacity to support planning, reviewing, and operationalizing platform development processes, including governance and operational frameworks.
  • Skills to track progress of web and mobile application development, identify risks and bottlenecks, and follow up proactively for quality and compliance.
  • Strong documentation skills, including organising and documenting coordination meetings, maintaining progress trackers, and preparing briefing notes.
  • Ability to support integration of communications, campaigns, storytelling content, and engagement features into the platform structure.
  • Ability to support feature testing, UAT processes, quality assurance, and feedback consolidation before deployment.
  • Strong file management skills to maintain structured archives of technical documents, design files, and operational materials.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal teams, diaspora stakeholders, and partners to ensure safeguarding, engagement, and operational standards are met.

 

What we are looking for:

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of web/mobile development lifecycle and digital platforms.
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical discussions and translate them into operational follow-up actions.
  • Documentation, reporting, and communication skills in English.
  • Around 06 months of professional involvement in a similar role is a plus.
