The Role:

 

Oxfam GB is looking for a Sustainable Supply Chain executive role to join its new products retail division: Sourced by Oxfam.

 

The role will work closely with the Sustainable Supply Chain Manager and Buying team and will be responsible for the ethical and environmental supplier onboarding process, ensuring efficient and systemic data processing.

 

The role requires engagement with various stakeholders, engaging in meaningful dialogue to understand the impact our business operations might have on people and planet.  

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Sustainable Supply Chain Manager and buyers in all aspects of Ethical and Environmental checking of new suppliers and manufacturing sites.  
  • Process manufacturing questionnaire and audits
  • Conduct supplier assessments, identifying ethical and environmental risks.
  • Monitor compliance with Oxfam Ethical & Environmental policy, and Modern Slavery Statement.
  • Build strong supplier relationships to improve environmental and social performance.
  • Organize, file and chase suppliers for documentation required in the onboarding process
  • Ensure copies of certificates and audits are kept up to date and proactively managed
  • Contribute to Developing and improving E&E processes within the department
  • Gather image consent from suppliers and producer groups
  • Build supplier stories to share with customers and volunteers
  • Update Open Supply Hub to improve transparency and traceability.
  • Develop and track KPIs to ensure alignment with the Retail Sustainability Strategy.
  • Prepare sustainability reports for internal stakeholders, customers, and public reporting.

  • Excellent Administrative skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to plan your own workload and meet deadline
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Organised
  • Logical and numerate.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of the requirements of ethical sourcing and Fair Trade.
