Job Purpose : The Roving Teacher Trainer will lead capacity-building initiatives for teachers, educators, and education partners in crisis-affected areas to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. The role ensures the development, coordination, and implementation of teacher training programs aligned with Education in Emergencies (EiE) standards, national curricula, and Oxfam’s strategic priorities.
Working closely with local education authorities and humanitarian partners, the trainer will deliver tailored training, mentorship, and coaching to improve foundational literacy and numeracy instruction, child protection practices, and gender-responsive teaching methodologies. Additionally, the role will oversee training assessments, documentation, and monitoring of teacher performance, ensuring continuous professional development.
Operating in fragile and high-risk environments, the trainer will facilitate peer learning, adaptive teaching approaches, and innovative educational solutions to improve access to quality education. Through coordination, advocacy, and documentation, the trainer will contribute to strengthening education systems, promoting inclusion and safeguarding, and supporting teachers in delivering effective, context-appropriate learning experiences.
