The Role:

The role will contribute to implementing Oxfam’s emergency intervention in Lebanon. The officer will contribute to effective and multi-level humanitarian response in municipalities. The officer will work closely with local stakeholders, local and regional authorities and partners, to ensure the delivery of tailored protection and WASH services. The Project officer is expected to support the Program Coordinator in all project activities, and execute all procurement, transportation and coordination support tasks.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as engineering, management,
• Relevant work experience of 2 to 3 years in working on humanitarian interventions, protection and WASH sectors.
• Experience in coordination with municipalities, water establishments and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrable experience in community mobilisation, as well as with local authorities and civil society engagement.
• A basic understanding of notions of feminism women rights.
• Good understanding and knowledge in application of do no harm, conflict sensitivity principles.
• Good levels of spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Proven analytical skills with proven skills in drafting and preparing reports.
• Willingness to work in insecure environments and a high level of adaptability and initiative.
