Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

Do you have significant experience managing apprenticeship programmes and the operational processes that underpin successful learning delivery?

Are you confident working with apprenticeship providers, managing complex learner journeys and using data to drive quality and performance?

Are you confident building relationships across multiple functions, influencing stakeholders and delivering solutions that support workforce capability and organisational success?

If the answer is yes, then we would like to hear from you.

The Role:

Oxfam GB is looking for an experienced apprenticeships and learning operations professional to lead our apprenticeship provision and learning operations across the organisation.

This is a varied role that combines strategic programme leadership with operational delivery.

You will lead and develop Oxfam's apprenticeship offer, ensuring programmes align with workforce needs, career pathways and future skills priorities, while maximising the value of our apprenticeship levy investment. This includes managing apprenticeship providers, monitoring programme performance and quality, supporting stakeholders across the organisation and ensuring apprenticeship activity delivers meaningful outcomes for learners and Oxfam.

You will also oversee learning operations, ensuring colleagues can access high-quality, engaging and well-coordinated learning experiences. You will lead key learning logistics activities including planning and scheduling learning activity, managing learner records, reporting, administration processes, supplier relationships and learner support.

Working within our newly established Learning, Talent & Engagement team, you will use data and insight to drive continuous improvement, demonstrate impact and continuously enhance our apprenticeship provision and learning operations offer across Oxfam.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led organisation and play a key role in helping colleagues develop the skills and confidence they need to make a difference.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do. And is highly organised, collaborative and focused on delivering great outcomes and experiences.

An ideal candidate will bring:

  • Significant experience and strong understanding of apprenticeship funding, levy systems, apprenticeship standards and apprenticeship programme governance.
  • Proven experience leading apprenticeship programmes, including provider management, stakeholder engagement, programme governance and performance monitoring.
  • Experience managing apprenticeship providers and maintaining effective relationships to drive quality, compliance and learner outcomes.
  • Experience managing complex learning operations and logistics, including learner support, administration, reporting, supplier management and programme coordination.
  • Proven ability to produce, analyse and present management information, workforce data and learning metrics to inform decision making and demonstrate impact.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility across functions and levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including developing engaging communications, reports and presentations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insight into practical recommendations and improvements.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality, accurate and compliant delivery.
  • Experience working with external learning providers, platforms and technologies.
  • A collaborative and innovative mindset, with a commitment to improving apprenticeship and learning operations experiences and supporting organisational success.

We offer:

We offer a competitive salary and a range of additional benefits to staff including flexible working options, generous pension scheme, annual leave, additional leave allowances, company sick pay, life assurance and a range of other benefits.

From the day you join Oxfam we invite you to stretch and learn in your role. Our wide range of Learning & Development opportunities includes in-house courses, e-learning modules, on-the job learning opportunities, coaching and mentoring, and much more.

About us

Oxfam is a global community who believe poverty isn’t inevitable. It’s an injustice that can be overcome. We are shop volunteers, women’s right activists, marathon runners, aid workers, coffee farmers, street fundraisers, goat herders, policy experts, campaigners, water engineers and more. And we won’t stop until everyone can live life without poverty for good.

Oxfam GB is a member of international confederation of 21 organisations working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries.

A thriving diverse Oxfam:

It’s people power that brings about change. To play our part as a global organisation working to overcome poverty and inequality, we need equality, diversity and inclusion across our community of staff, partners and volunteers. Together, we’re committed to becoming a more diverse workforce, better able to tackle the global challenges that face our world today.

To do that:

  • We need to dismantle the unequal power structures that exist everywhere, this including Oxfam and the wider development and charity sectors.
  • We need an inclusive Oxfam where everyone can bring who they are to our work and feels celebrated for the differences they bring.
  • We want and need everyone, and that means we need you.
