Oxfam Syria is looking for EFSVL Team leader To support Oxfam Syria EFSVL program in the HUB in close coordination with line and technical manager in the implementation of the emergency, Early recovery & resilience Food security and vulnerable livelihoods activities to alleviate the suffering of the vulnerable population affected by the ongoing conflict and recurrent drought and flood following the climate change in Syria. This includes supporting the development and guidance for EFSVL Officers in assessment, implementation & planning, supervision and monitoring to assist area manager in implementation of country strategy. And to support EFSVL Officers in discharging their responsibilities in planning and delivering quality EFSVL activities through data gathering and management and needs assessment, implementation, staff capacity building, as means to improve the food security and livelihoods of vulnerable affected populations.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:
• University degree in relevant filed (Agriculture, Economics, Law, engineering field or any other relevant subject)
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with INGOs in EFSVL, livelihood and/or early recovery and resilience fields
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical teams’ management
• Demonstrated experience in implementing market -based interventions, including but not limited to Cash Transfers, Cash for Work, Business support, vocational training, market infrastructure rehabilitation and market driven capacity building programmes
• Demonstrated experience in use of participatory approaches to deliver food security and livelihoods, as well as early recovery and resilience projects with community leaders, local authorities, local partners and other relevant stakeholders
• Strong understanding of local socio-economic development issues, institutions, and local contexts for target communities
• Demonstrated experience of leadership, managing diverse teams, and capacity building of teams.
• Competency in use of relevant technology systems (MS Office suite, financial accounting, and
accuracy skills)
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and verbal)
• Management of budgets
• Strong influencing and networking
• Demonstrated skills in coordination with internal/external stakeholders
• Good analytic and problem-solving ability with the ability to anticipate and solve problems
