Do you have Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural economics, economics, and engineering or 
relevant fields(s) from a recognised university ?

 

Do you have  3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in implementing food security and livelihood projects
activities ?

 

Do you have 2 year demonstrated experience in implementing market -based and/or value chain related food 
security and livelihood projects activities ?

The Role:

 

Oxfam Syria  is looking for EFSVL OFFICER To implement and monitor the FSL activities at field level with participation of key stakeholders including 
Oxfam field staff, Village Development Committees, financial service providers local authorities and other 
agribusiness actors along the value chain

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural economics, economics, and engineering or 
    relevant fields(s) from a recognised university.
    • 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in implementing food security and livelihood projects
    activities.
    • 2 year demonstrated experience in implementing market -based and/or value chain related food 
    security and livelihood projects activities.
    • Demonstrated experience in use of participatory approaches to undertake value chain 
    intervention, assessment and analysis with community leaders, local authorities, private and 
    market actors and local partners.
    • Demonstrated experience in gender and protection mainstreaming.
    • Strong understanding of local socio-economic development issues, institutions and local 
    contexts for target communities.
    • Strong ability to work within team and consult with a wide range of staff colleagues.

    • Flexibility and ability to manage work stress and to work under highly pressure. 
    • Pro-active and with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Demonstrated experience in project management cycle.
