The Role:

Oxfam Syria is looking for a Market Systems Technical Coordinator

The Market Systems Technical Coordinator is the technical focal point for Oxfam in Syria's market systems, value chain and enterprise work, under the leadership of the Food and Economic Security Lead. The role turns market analysis into programme decisions: which value chains to invest in, which market actors to engage, and which infrastructure to rehabilitate and under what operating and maintenance model. The post holder designs and quality-assures market interventions delivered by hub teams and partners,  creates linkages with key market actors (including the private sector) and ensures that market work connects with the agriculture, water, cash and protection components rather than running alongside them. The role also generates the market evidence that feeds Oxfam's advocacy on market regulation, innovation, and the protection of small producers.
