The Ukraine Strategic Engagement Lead will lead and coordinate Oxfam’s post-phase-out engagement in Ukraine, ensuring delivery of the “Strategic Framework for Post-Phase-Out Partner Engagement in Ukraine” and maintaining coherence across partner relationships, fundraising, influencing, learning, and confederation engagement.
The post holder will act as Oxfam’s primary focal point for strategic partners in Ukraine after the closure of Oxfam’s physical presence, maintaining regular dialogue with partners and ensuring that their priorities, perspectives, and contextual analysis inform Oxfam’s continued engagement. The role will coordinate across Oxfam affiliates, Oxfam International, the Global Humanitarian Team, Rights in Crisis, Gender Rights and Justice, media and communications, fundraising, programme, finance, and business support colleagues to ensure coherent and realistic delivery of the model.
The role will hold responsibility for the implementation and adaptive management of the Ukraine post-phase-out strategic framework, including oversight of relevant budgets, coordination of Ukraine-related funding opportunities, strategic coherence and sign-off for Ukraine and Russia-related influencing and communications, and Oxfam’s role in the continued Women’s Humanitarian Leadership Fund in Ukraine.
In addition, and in alignment with the confederation transformation process, the function will play a significant role in testing new models of engagement without physical presence in a crisis affected country, will harvest learnings and insights about opportunities and challenges faced.
This role is Fixed Term, 18 months with possibility of extension.
