Do you have experience in Support the development of project strategy, plans and service agreements between Oxfam and implementing partners and the donor within the overall programme framework and assure the flux of information and documents of the projects to the donors?

 

Do you have experience in Undertake planning, implementation and monitoring of food security, market linked livelihood agricultural extension services and natural resource management interventions in agreed geography in close coordination with other resilience and WASH team members?

 

Do you have experience in Provide technical support on digital training material preparation for both TTLM and BDS services, and project experience and best practices documentation (photography and video graph training to partners and Oxfam staff, and stakeholders)?

The Role:

 

The Livelihood Programme Officer has as a main purpose to plan, implement, review and support food security and livelihoods components of the RESILIENT project and programme, as well as for integrating and mainstreaming food security and livelihoods across Oxfam projects, programmes and provide expert advice on this with implementing partners. S/he will work closely with the Economic and Climate Justice program manager and the Northern Ethiopia Program manager.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • Bachelor (BA) or Degree from a recognized university/collage in Economics, Agronomy, Veterinary, Rural Development, Rural Economics or any other related areas that can bring added value to the job.
  • Relevant experience of 5-7 years for BA holders (i.e. planning, designing and managing food security and livelihoods interventions) preferably in an international NGO out of which 2 years should be supervisory / managerial experience
  • Demonstrable experience of working on market related component of livelihood such as value chain management etc.
  • Good understanding and analytical skills of the sustainable livelihoods approach and related issues
  • Good understanding of cash-based interventions
  • Good understanding of and commitment to linking livelihood programme design with longer-term community-based institution building
  • Ability to analyze complex development / humanitarian contexts, monitor change and translate into appropriate strategic planning and advocacy
  • Demonstrated experience of integrating gender and diversity into long term livelihood programmes
  • Commitment to and knowledge of creating a partner-led operational environment, with an ability to create an internal Oxfam approach that is focused on developing and supporting partner organisations to achieve direct impact and results relating to Oxfam’s objectives
